Coconut caramel aka liquid gold
Would it be presumptuous to say it is one of the best things you'll ever taste? Please let me know once you've tried it. The only downside is, you have to stand-by and stir for 30 minutes. Nothing worth having ever comes easily, they say.
You will need:
1 can organic coconut milk (400mL)
1 cup coconut sugar
quality sea salt
Place your ingredients into a saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce to medium-low heat and cook for 30 minutes while stirring continuously.
You will see the colour darken and the texture thicken gradually.
Pour into a glass container and leave to cool before sealing.
Keep refrigerated.
